Consultations

Our staff can provide consultations to improve your communication materials—handouts, posters, presentations, and more.

Health Literacy and Plain Language Review Service

Our health literacy and plain language review service can help revise and tailor your written materials to meet the average adult’s health literacy needs. Using plain language and health literacy principles can increase research participation, improve adherence, and lead to better health outcomes. We can review:

  • Study recruitment materials and consent forms
  • Data collection instruments
  • Website text for patients and study participants
  • Documents for reporting research results to the community
  • Patient-information materials and handouts

Science Communication Consultations

What good is your science if you can’t share it? Our science communication services can help you find the resources to communicate your work effectively. Contact us for assistance with figures for grant proposals, manuscripts, and presentations. We also provide consultations on using data analysis and visualization software (Excel, SigmaPlot, SigmaStat) and graphic design software (PowerPoint, CorelDraw, Adobe Acrobat Pro).
